The check collection was created in 2005 to launch the newly branded Ace Duofold. It was a stunning new geometric pattern in a two-tone check finish in amber/hazel

The vivid material was crafted from squares of different colour pearl acrylic seamlessly joined together, by diffusion bonding, with solid black coloured squares. The check pattern is harmonious and yet wholly unique with subtle colour variations. The appearance is reminiscent of the multicoloured laminates used in the 1930s

The material for the check Duofolds was produced at Carville using their diffusion bonding technique, whitch allows layers of plastic material to be joined without the use of solvents or adhesives.
