Rotring

Rotring (stylized rOtring) is a German technical writing and drawing instruments company based in Hamburg.

"Rot ring" directly translates to red ring - which is still placed around the barrel of their writing instruments today.

Founded in 1928, with the development of the first fountain pen without a conventional nib, the "Tiku" or "Inkograph", rotring came to dominate the market for technical drawing pens and accessories with the Isograph and Rapidograph pens and the huge range of associated drawing instruments.

In 1953, Rotring's Rapidograph gained enough popularity to become the archetypal technical pen at the time. High quality and accuracy in the design are some of the elements reflected in Rotring products.
