Following the acclaimed debut inspired by Glauco Cambon, Pelikan presents the second chapter of its Art Collection: the Souveran® M600 Pelikan Art Collection Rudi Rother. This Special Edition translates the bold, geometric spirit of early advertising art into a contemporary writing instrument, reinterpreting Rudi Rother’s expressive poster work on the barrel.

• Artistic heritage: Around the turn of the 20th century, posters became the stage where art met commerce. Pelikan collaborated with avant-garde artists and designers, creating an archive of advertising masterpieces (1900–1950) that continues to inspire today.
• About Rudi Rother (1863–1909): A German painter and illustrator associated with Jugendstil (Art Nouveau), renowned for humorous pen-and-ink work, flowing lines, ornamental designs, and stylized figures that helped shape commercial art.
• Design narrative: The flowing, organic pattern on the woman’s dress in Rother’s poster becomes the pen’s striking ornamental motif. A luminous finish with a hologram effect brings the barrel to life and radiates irresistible appeal.
• Meticulous craftsmanship (“Aurora” method): A brass tube is processed, engraved, and guilloche-patterned with ultra-fine grooves to achieve the light-reflecting hologram effect. After ten layers of clear lacquer and careful polishing, the colored image is printed; further multi-stage polishing elevates the surface to a radiant high sheen.

This edition continues Pelikan’s journey of transforming iconic visuals from the past into modern objects of writing art.
