He bent over to pick up a flower for his lady but lost his balance with the weight of its armor and fell into the river. While drowning he threw the flower at his lady screaming “Forget-me-not”.
Herbin is the oldest name in pen inks in the world.

Each 30 ml bottle has an integrated pen rest. They are known as "D" bottle pen inks. The "D" refers to the old French unit of measure "la Demi Courtine".
