The Pilot S20 is a drafting pencil designed with a fixed pipe for the graphite.
It features a short aluminum pocket clip engraved with Pilot, along with an aluminum center band labeled S20 and Japan in small black letters. The clip is removable if you prefer using the pencil without it.
The knock mechanism advances the lead by pressing the end of the pencil. The top of the knock is a plastic disk colored to match the wood body and marked with 0.5 or 0.3 mm, depending on the model.
A rotating ring at the center of the knock lets you select a lead grade indicator: F, H, HB, or B.
Gently pulling the knock reveals a small eraser, which can be removed to access the lead chamber for refilling.
