The Pilot Timeline Past Ballpoint Pen in Dark Brown is a sophisticated Japanese writing instrument that combines innovative engineering, elegant natural materials and exceptional everyday functionality. Distinguished by its unique telescopic design and refined wooden grip, the Timeline Past offers a remarkable balance between traditional craftsmanship and modern writing technology.

The defining feature of the Pilot Timeline collection is its innovative two-stage twist mechanism, known as the Double Action system. With the first twist, the front section extends from the body, transforming the compact pen into its writing configuration. A second twist extends the ballpoint tip, making the pen ready for use. This distinctive mechanism provides an engaging and practical writing experience while allowing the tip to remain completely concealed when not in use.

The Timeline Past features a carefully crafted grip made from resin-impregnated natural birch wood, complemented by a durable anodized aluminum body. The combination of these materials creates an elegant contrast between the warmth of natural wood and the precision of modern metalworking.

The Dark Brown finish emphasizes the rich, natural character of the wooden grip, offering a timeless and understated appearance. The natural wood grain introduces subtle variations in color and texture, making each writing instrument individually distinctive. Its sophisticated design is particularly suitable for professionals, collectors and enthusiasts who appreciate traditional materials combined with innovative functionality.

Considerable attention has been given to ergonomics and balance. The carefully engineered weight distribution allows the pen to rest comfortably in the hand, while its compact construction provides excellent portability. With an overall length of approximately 120.7 mm and a maximum diameter of 13.5 mm, the Timeline Past combines comfortable handling with convenient everyday carrying.

The pen is equipped with Pilot\'s renowned Acro ballpoint ink technology, featuring a 0.7 mm writing tip and black ink. This advanced low-viscosity oil-based ink formulation provides smooth ink delivery, consistent lines and reduced writing resistance, making it particularly suitable for everyday notes, signatures and extended writing sessions.

The Timeline Past is fully refillable and uses the Pilot BRFN-30F-B ballpoint refill. Its carefully engineered mechanism, high-quality materials and replaceable refill make it a dependable writing companion designed for long-term enjoyment.
