In the Middle Ages, Bologna rose as a remarkable “selva turrita”, a city of towers that once numbered over one hundred—an ancient skyline reminiscent of a modern metropolis. These towers stood as symbols of power, wealth, and ambition.

LA DOTTA Turrita draws inspiration from this extraordinary heritage, along with two other iconic monuments: the Valverde cistern and the Neptune Fountain. Together, they reflect the ingenuity and cultural richness of Bologna. The cistern, a masterpiece of 16th-century engineering, supplied water to the city and later fed the famous Neptune Fountain, known affectionately as “Al Zigant” (the Giant), a symbol of strength and grandeur.

Crafted in warm red-brown resin with refined metal details, this writing instrument pays tribute to Bologna’s history and timeless architectural beauty.
