As a representative piece celebrating the brand’s 10-year milestone, the Classic Fountain Pen embodies a decade of craftsmanship and design expertise from YSTUDIO. After years of creating distinctive writing instruments, YSTUDIO returned to the essence of writing to develop a truly pure and refined fountain pen.

This is the first fountain pen fitted with YSTUDIO’s own in-house nib, embossed with the brand’s original logo used during its early years. The pen body features the updated 10th anniversary logo, symbolizing the connection between YSTUDIO’s heritage and future.

The Classic Fountain Pen Series is finished with a sophisticated matte lacquer coating. Each of the six edges is finely polished to reveal elegant brass lines beneath the surface, creating a subtle contrast between texture and shine.

Crafted from solid brass, the pen’s hexagonal body follows YSTUDIO’s signature minimalist aesthetic — pure, balanced, and timeless. The slightly thicker barrel offers a comfortable grip and a satisfying weight for everyday writing.

Brass Edition

Over time, the brass develops a unique patina depending on usage and environment, making every pen truly personal. This natural oxidation is harmless and can be restored to its original shine using brass polish. With no additional surface treatment, each pen carries the individual marks and character of its owner.

Blue, Black, Green & Red – The “Brassing Effect”

During daily use, the outer coating gradually wears away to reveal the brass underneath — an evolving appearance YSTUDIO calls the “brassing effect.” Users can further personalize the finish by gently sanding the surface with the included sandpaper.

The fountain pen uses standard international ink cartridges and also includes a converter for bottled ink filling. The custom-made steel nib is YSTUDIO’s own #6 nib and is available in Fine and Medium sizes.
