The MP1 is the first internal piston-filling fountain pen ever produced by Monteverde USA. Introduced as part of the company's 25th-anniversary celebration, it represents a significant step forward in the development of its writing instruments. It features innovative Lock-It™ Piston Technology, a locking mechanism that securely holds the piston knob between fillings, preventing accidental movement during handling, storage, or use.

The durable anodized aluminum cap features elegant etched lines, while the transparent barrel and grip section are crafted as one seamless piece of polycarbonate resin, providing a smooth feel and comfortable grip. Its plasma-treated feed system ensures consistent ink flow while helping prevent skips and unwanted ink blots.

The pen is fitted with a German-made JoWo No. 6 stainless steel nib, engineered for precision and smooth writing.
