The Opus 88 Omar Smoke is a substantial fountain pen with a sophisticated, understated aesthetic. Its generous proportions are balanced by a refined combination of smoked transparent resin, a deep black cap and contrasting white accents.

The smoked barrel allows the internal mechanism and ink reservoir to remain visible while giving the pen a darker and more elegant character. The black cap features a subtle pearlescent appearance, adding depth and visual interest to the design.

The Omar Smoke features Opus 88\'s signature Japanese-style eyedropper filling system, offering an impressive ink capacity of approximately 3.5 ml. A glass eyedropper is included for convenient filling directly from an ink bottle.

An integrated shut-off valve controls the flow of ink from the main reservoir to the nib. During extended writing sessions, the end knob can be loosened slightly to allow continuous ink flow. When fully closed, the valve isolates the main ink chamber, providing additional security while carrying or transporting the pen.

The threaded cap, robust black clip and carefully balanced construction give the Omar Smoke a reassuring presence in the hand while maintaining excellent comfort during longer writing sessions.
