The beauty of urushi is deepened by using non-oil lacquer for the final coat and a polishing method called “ Roiro Urushi Shiage“ where the process of repeatedly rubbing in raw lacquer after polishing with a special charcoal.
Namiki Yukari Royale Urushi Black obtained using the "Roiro Urushi Shiage" method, a complex procedure that consists in repeatedly rubbing a piece of raw lacquer and then polishing everything with a special charcoal.
The fountain pen is equipped with an 18 KT No. 20 gold nib and is refilled with a Pilot attachment / converter cartridge (CON-70 included in the pen).
The particular and complex lacquering technique makes each piece a unique piece of art and takes months to create.
Namiki Yukari Royale Urushi Black comes in a wooden box with an ink bottle.
