Every year, Graf-Von Faber Castell celebrates a special moment. The Pen of the Year.
As you know, every limited edition tells the stories
eras and peoples whose actions shaped its history
humanity. In 2023, with the Pen of the Year, they will do one
"dive" into the depths of history and we will meet one of the most exciting and advanced cities of the world. The pen
of the Year this year is inspired by ancient Egypt and
its history, which exceeds the 3,000 years, its gods and goddesses,
its mythology and achievements.
Because of a fascinating natural phenomenon, people said
their place of Kemet (meaning "Black Earth"): Every year, their
summer months, the land was often flooded with its dark sand
Nile, which fertilized the soil.
This black, fertile land near the Nile was the home of one
of advanced civilization in northern Africa, from which the
Kingdom of Egypt with the pharaohs, the pyramids, the gods and the
decorated symbols depicted on the Pen of the Year As this year\'s Pen of the Year is full of surprises, Graf Von Faber Castell created something unique:
For the first time, they offer a deep blue, brilliant ink,
in a decorated small inkwell to offer
a unique writing experience.
Inspired by lapis lazuli, "Egyptian Blue" is one
of the earliest colors created by humans. The
container adorns Nefertiti\'s hat-crown and his mask
Tutankhamun. Dark blue was considered a divine color, in
combination with gold, in ancient Egypt. Even today,
dark blue colors are considered very elegant and constitute
popular choice in royal homes.
