Lightforce paper is manufactured at Hokuetsu Corporation’s Niigata factory in Japan. It was developed based on Snowforce, an existing paper used for mook books, which combine features of magazines and books.
These publications required two seemingly contradictory qualities: suitability for photo printing and a rough texture. Lightforce was developed to meet these needs, balancing high-quality image reproduction with a distinctive tactile surface.
